21 artists from pemaquid art gallery off season show at Damariscotta River grill

November 11, 2025 - April 13, 2026

Twenty-one of Pemaquid Art Gallery’s talented artists share their varied styles, mediums and views of the beauty in Maine landscape and wildlife at the Damariscotta River Grill on Main Street, Damariscotta. This comprehensive show opens November 11 and will be on exhibit through April 13. The “Art at the Grill” opening evening is Thursday, November 20. Join us for a special Prix Fixe three course menu that will be offered for $29, with a choice of wine pairings for $10, or choose a selection from the regular menu, from 4:30 - 7:30 pm. A portion of the dinner proceeds will be used to fund a scholarship for a Lincoln Academy student pursuing an art education.

Damariscotta River Grill is open 7 days/week, 3 PM - 8:30PM.

Artists at the Point

Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 10 am to 4 pm

Visitors will have the opportunity to watch demonstrations and talk with several members of the artist group. A welcome tent will be erected at the Gallery, which is open from 10 am to 5 pm daily. Some of the finest art in the region can be found locally at this little jewel of a Gallery, now in its 98th season.

art for outreach from donated paintings

Every year artists at the Gallery donate paintings to raise funds for an outreach program to encourage art education. Sales benefit area schools and programs, and a free family pass to the Portland Art Museum for use by anyone in the community, available through Skidompha Library in Damariscotta.

PORTLAND MUSEUM PASS DONATED TO SKIDOMPHA LIBRARY FOR PUBLIC USE

Gary Smith, PGA Board President gives Terry Hapach, Head Librarian at Skidompha a check for a day pass to Portland Museum of Art. The family pass allows 2 adults and 2 children a day at PMA. Any member of the public can reserve the pass and do not need to be members of the library.

lighthouse day & plein air painters

In September, on Annual Lighthouse Day, visitors are admitted to the park free. Many of our member Pemaquid artists will be painting on location.

Open Lighthouse Day festivities will take place all day Saturday, September 12, 2026.

CALL FOR ARTISTS FOR 2026 SEASON

JURYING FOR NEW ARTISTS

The Pemaquid Group of Artists will be jurying to select new member artists on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, for exhibit at the Pemaquid Art Gallery in our 98th season.  Artists interested in applying for membership are required to submit three recent, original works of art, a short resume and a completed application with their art at the gallery on Friday, April 10 between noon and 2 PM.
